In the quiet expanse of a Yellowstone winter, a long-tailed weasel makes direct eye contact with the camera and tilts its head as if saying, "Are you ready to catch me?" These weasels are some of the quickest little critters in Yellowstone and are always a fun challenge to try and get them on the move.  In this fleeting instant, the weasel becomes almost a ghost, pausing ever so briefly before vanishing into the frozen landscape as it hunts for hidden prey beneath the icy crust.
